Patricia Hewitt, who is quitting as an MP at the next election, said she wanted to stand down to spend more time with her family.I guess when she said “family” she meant it in a very broad sense, because today she was appointed the new senior independent director at BT.
Ms Hewitt, Leicester West, has been on the board at BT since last March.
And then the Digital Revolution report decrees that landlines must be taxed to pay for people living in the sticks to get broadband. I wonder who will be receiving the lion's share of that tax revenue in order to extend the broadband network...
