
Cameron was even content to speak openly on the story about a Christian couple barred by a judge from becoming foster parents after saying they’d refuse to tell a child that homosexuality was ok.
When Lobbydog asked him about it yesterday he said: "This matter was decided by a court in the appropriate way and I think we should rest with the judgement that was made.
"I think Christians should be tolerant and welcoming and broad minded."
A spokesman for the couple in question later said the PM's response was "lacking in any understanding of the critical situation and conflict between the two groups involved".
